Over the last 20 years, Solitaire has grown from a small used car operation into one of Australia’s leading luxury car dealerships.

Solitaire Automotive is strategically positioned in the heart of the eastern and northern suburbs at, 26 and 32 Belair Road, Hawthorn and 37-41 Main North Road, Medindie. Due to a significant expansion of the Solitaire Automotive Group, the company’s facility at 32 Belair Road is currently undergoing an exciting redevelopment. Until its completion in late 2007, the facility will be temporarily located at 32 Richmond Road, Keswick, a convenient few minutes’ drive from the brand new Service Centre at Mile End. Solitaire Automotive, at it's three locations, proudly continues to provide excellence in customer service in every facet of the business.

• Solitaire Motors began trading in December 1971 as a small used car operation on South Road,
   Edwardstown.

• In April 1981, the company moved to 26 Belair Road, Hawthorn (current Audi site) as a result of
   expansion over the previous years and to ensure strategic positioning for the future.

• In January 1982, Solitaire acquired a J.R.A franchise with Jaguar, Rover and Range Rover.
  Subsequently, Solitaire achieved the highest market penetration for Jaguar for four successive years.

• In 1989, Solitaire relinquished the Rover/Range Rover franchise and became South Australia’s sole   Jaguar dealer.

• During May 1990, Solitaire Motors changed to Solitaire Automotive and in December acquired the   Audi/Volkswagen franchise in South Australia.

• Solitaire is now also the sole dealerships for Aston Martin, Bentley and Lamborghini.

• In July 2007, Solitaire was pleased to welcome Land Rover and Volvo to the group. This growth
  has lead to the redevelopment of the current site at 32 Belair Road.

• A brand new state-of-the-art service centre opened in August 2007.
